About Clare Ellison

I am an advanced eating disorders dietitian and have specialised in this area for the last 13 years.

During this time I have completed a post-graduate certificate in eating disorders, a diploma in nutrition and further training in additional psychological therapies including CBT-E, FBT, Systemic Practice, MANTRA, CFT, mindfulness and guided self-help.

I have clinically worked with both adults and children/young people and their families and in both community and inpatient settings. I completed a masters degree in leadership with accreditation and designed and led the award-winning childrens community eating disorder service in North Cumbria. In 2023 I took a role as the ARFID project lead for the North East and North Cumbria.

I’ve developed several practice resources for clinicians as well as patient facing information which are used and applied nationally. I’m a member of the British Dietetic Association ARFID committee and am the dietetic clinical advisor to BEAT (National Eating Disorders Charity).

I have also supported and delivered work with NHS-England, delivered ARFID training, host ARFID regional supervision sessions for all professionals and offer dietetic clinical supervision.
