New ARFID Support Resources Launched
Insight Eating is pleased to highlight the launch of new web-based resources aimed at supporting those affected by Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), as well as professionals in the field. Ursula Philpot, as part of her continued commitment to enhancing eating disorder support, contributed to the development of these invaluable materials.
What’s Available:
- For Families and Individuals: A dedicated webpage offers current information, practical advice through the “ARFID Simple Suggestions Series,” and an accessible webinar series for carers. These resources are designed to be easy to navigate, ensuring relevant support is readily available.
- For Professionals: A separate platform provides comprehensive guidance on ARFID, including information for ongoing learning and service development. This resource is open to all professionals, regardless of location.
Collaboration at Its Core: These initiatives were developed through collaborative efforts, incorporating feedback from lived experiences and professionals in the field. It’s a testament to the power of community and expertise coming together to support those impacted by ARFID.
Access and Use: The resources can be accessed via the Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust website. They’re designed for public use, acknowledging the broader community’s potential benefit. Professionals are reminded to use these materials responsibly, ensuring they remain relevant and appropriate.
Acknowledgment: Insight Eating acknowledges the significant contribution of Ursula Philpot and all involved in creating these resources. While Insight Eating is not directly associated with the projects, we recognize the importance of such resources in supporting the ARFID community.
